Reinforcement mesh, often referred to as fabric is a highly versatile reinforcement product, which is widely used throughout the construction industry for a variety of applications. It's predominately used to reinforce cast concrete slabs, vastly increasing the structural rigidity of a construction. Steel mesh fabric has a similar coefficient of thermal expansion to concrete, meaning that with fluctuations in temperature, both the concrete and the steel embedded within it expand and contract at similar rates. This makes it an ideal material to help reinforce concrete structures.
A142 is the most commonly used mesh fabric for domestic applications such as garden groundwork, pathways and driveways. With 6mm wires spaced 200mm apart, it is relatively light and easy to move into place.
